This was confirmed by Misamis Oriental Governor Yevgeny Vincente Emano yesterday.

Obeñita works for the Provincial Tourism Office.

“When it comes to Misamis Oriental’s part kay empleyado man nako sya nag issue nako daan og memo kay ila man gipagawas kay basin kuno di  maka perform sa iyang duty kay empleyado sa Kapitolyo amo syang gitagaan og exemption sa among biometric so di na sya kinahanglan mag time in, mag time-out kada adlaw,” Emano assured.

Emano said Obeñita only needs to inform lawyer Jeoffrey Saclot of her events of the day and that she did not need to report to her office so that she will be able to perform her duties as an ambassadress of Cagayan de Oro.

The governor said he is happy for Obeñita and appealed to the City of Cagayan de Oro to accept Obeñita.

“Cindy is a resident of Cagayan de Oro and she deserves to receive the crown,” Emano said.

“She answered very well. She did very well and I think the judges were able to see that so we appeal to the city of Cagayan de Oro to accept Cindy. She is also your daughter and so young, very intelligent, very pretty and in the future, believe me, she will be an asset of Cagayan de Oro,” Emano added.
