By reaching the 65 percent target of Popcom-10 of this modern contraceptive prevalence rate among women of reproductive or a total of 11,340,000 women, an estimated 4,117,000 unintended pregnancies will have been averted, 2,429,000 abortions will have been prevented, and 2,160 maternal deaths will also be averted.

Omega said they will be coordinating with the provincial, city, and municipal population officers to intensify the demand generation activities, caravans, sessions, and classes for pregnant women to help understand why families need to have family planning.

“A lot of couples do not use family planning kay maka cause kuno ug health problems. These are baseless,” said Omega.
