TWO persons, including a minor, were apprehended by anti-narcotics agents for possession of illegal drugs in a coastal village here late Monday night.
Operatives from the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit, Macabalan police, and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency were able to confiscate about 56.2 grams of white crystalline granules contained in three heat-sealed plastic sachets believed to be shabu from one Marlon Mondelo, 34, single, and a resident of Zone 1, Barangay Kauswagan, this city.
The seized item has an estimated street value of P382,160, police said.
With him during the buy-bust operation was a 16-year-old male, a resident of Barra in Barangay Macabalan. The arrest also took place in the same neighborhood.
According to Lt. Col. Mardy Hortillosa, the police regional spokesman, Mondelo is considered a high value target and his movements have been monitored by authorities for quite some time now.
