Cagayan de Oro City Council on its regular session on Monday has adopted two separate resolutions endorsing with social acceptability the establishment and operation of cell site towers in Barangays Indahag and Lumbia by the Globe Telecom, Incorporated.
This is however subject to the rules and regulations provided for under the City Codified Ordinance and City Ordinance No. 9119-2004, and of other government agencies covering such operation and submission by the barangay secretary of a certification attesting that the signatories of the neighbour’s consent are actual residents of the said barangays whose properties are adjoining the tower.
Based on the on-site verification and inspection conducted by the City Local Environment and Natural Resources Office (CLENRO), the cell site towers will be situated within 144 and 196 square meter properties located at Sitio Talisay, Indahag and at Poblacion Lumbia, respectively.
The project sites are classified as Medium Density Residential Zones (R2) per submitted Special Permit on Zoning issued February 7, 2019 and May 29, 2019 by the City Planning and Development Office (CPDO). The legislations were reviewed and endorsed by the committees on environment and on laws and rules chaired by Councilors Enrico D. Salcedo and Ian Mark Q. Nacaya, respectively. (SP)
