Lt. Col. Roy Anthony Derilo, 58IB commander, said there are no fake surrenderers made by the military but (the communists) have a point.

Derilo said there has been some mistakes in the declaration of some military commanders in the areas on the listing of surrenderers.

Nahalo lahat ang number of NPA [New People’s Army] regular at militia surrenderers at mga masang nagbalik loob sa gobyerno,” Derilo said.

He added that since they made a mistake once, the communists have used it in their propaganda for the rest of the legitimate surrenderers.

Earlier, Sison alleged that most of the surrenderers presented by the military were fake.

Derilo said the masses who returned to the government are not NPA, “they are only supporters of the NPA.”
