The resolution was authored by Board Member Vincent Pelaez.

Pelaez said it emphasized that as community quarantine is now effective in each municipality in the province and in Cagayan de Oro due to fear of Covid-19, people stay at home and limit their movement in accessing necessities that cause loss of income in many constituents.

The resolution was passed unanimously by all members present during session requesting Cagayan de Oro Electric Power and Light Company (Cepalco) Misamis Oriental Rural Electric Cooperative I and II to extend the payment of electric bills until April 30,2020.

The said extension according to Pelaez will enable the people to stay safe at the comfort of their homes especially to those who have less or no income at all.

However, Pelaez said he have no information yet if the elecrtric comoanies have replied already but he hopws that the said electric companies shall find it reasonable.
