ATI Compound, EL SALVADOR CITY— The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center X (ATI-RTC X) of the Department of Agriculture (DA) have mounted a webinar series on urban agriculture via “AgriStoryahay”.
Since its debut on April 24 this year, the said web series offers learning and farming tips to viewers amid the global health crisis the country is facing today. The production of the webinar series came in as response to the covid-19 pandemic which has restricted ATI’s conduct of face-to-face trainings.
“AgriStoryahay”, as shown at the ATI Northern Mindanao Facebook page airs at 10:00 AM every Friday. Viewers can join and register through a provided link. A certificate will be provided to each participant upon completion of the episode watched and participated in.The series aims to engage viewers on urban agriculture to assure food availability and facilitate income-generating activities they can liberally engage at home. Aside from production and processing, the series also prompts viewers to plant vegetables for family consumption.

“AgriStoryahay” is produced by the Information Services Section (ISS) with regular or stand-in hosts from Info Chief Maria Eloisa A. Akut, OIC-Center Director Maria Lydia A. Echavez, Information Officer Honeylou C. Bastasa to technical support staff Mark CybenCepeEpe, Keemple Mark Darap and Cassandra Camille Rosos.
Certified Learning Site (LS) owners and other farm partners of the center will also be featured. Future episodes will focus on technologies in producing garden-variety vegetables, as well as cooking and processing tips:
