Misamis Oriental Governor Yevgeny Vincente Emano said he felt bad about the burning of both offices since, saying: “Ang buhatan sa panglawas ug buhatan sa Misamis Oriental Care System naugdaw intawon sa kalayo.”

In the meantime, he said they will find a place for the staff to hold office so that they can continue their services.

Provincial Health Officer Dr. Jerie Calingasan said Emano has instructed them to occupy the training center located beside their burnt building. The MisorCare Office, he said, will be joined temporarily with the Early Childhood Care Development Office.

On Thursday, Emano said they will continue to assist those who were are burned.

“Hopefully, bisa’g ang atong mga hard copy naa diha karon nasunog basin ang atong mga empleyado ilang nadala ilang mga soft copy kay naa man ’tay work (from) home,” he said.

As for the medicines that were burned at the office of MisorCare, Emano assured that it will not affect the operations of the eight hospitals across the province since it has its own supplies of medicines.

Emano said that they will investigate all the possible angles as to how the fire started.

He thanked the people who helped during the fire incident, the Bureau of Fire, fire volunteers, and including Cagayan de Oro 1st District Rep. Rolando Uy for the firetrucks. (Shiela Mae Butlig)
