There will be no funfare for the “Adlaw sa Iligan.”
This was the gist of the statement of City Councilor Sorilie Bacsarpa the Sanggunian Panglungsod’s chair of the Committee on Tourism to media yesterday. She added that the health of the people here would be at risk if there would be some happenings in connection with said day.
Cong. Frederick Siao for his part said that even though there’ s no fanfare in connection with said day said day is celebrated in the “hearts ” of the people here.
The city to note became a chartered city on June 16, 1950 or 71 years ago. So this is the 71st ” Adlaw sa Iligan.”71 years ago
