A JUNIOR policeman was killed when the motorcycle he was driving crashed into the center island of JR Borja Ext, this city at 4 am, today.
An investigator on the case Police Staff Sgt. Maximo Judaya, Jr., identified the victim as Patrolman Larry Bugasao, Jr., 25, single, and a resident of Purok 2, Crossing Libona, Bukidnon.
The victim was assigned to the Regional Mobile Force Battalion based in Upper Barangay Gusa of the said city.
According to Judaya, the victim was from his headquarters and was heading to the east area at a normal speed when the unit he was driving suddenly hit the center island.
Quoting the witnesses, Judaya said, due to the impact, the victim was thrown meters away which resulted in a fatal injury to his head and to the different parts of his body.
He was rushed to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center for treatment where he was declared dead on arrival.
Two weeks ago, two people were killed when the motorcycle they were riding also hit the same spot of the center island of the JR Borja Ext road.
