DIGOS City ― Personnel of Digos police together with various anti-drug units, and the PDEA-11 successfully dismantled a reported drug den, and arrested four suspects following a buy-bust operation on Wednesday night.
Lt. Colonel Hamlet Lerios, Digos City police chief identified the suspects as Niel Japhet Paloma Sode, 31, a resident of Luna Extension, Barangay San Miguel, Digos City. He is categorized as a High-Value Individual (HVI) and the alleged maintainer of the drug den.
Julie Ann Daradar Cubillar, 40, a resident of Purok Acacia, Barangay Cogon, Digos City; Lester Jay Jabonero Daganato, 28, a truck driver, and a resident of Chapter-5, Barangay Aplaya, Digos City; and Celso Mesa, 44, construction worker, and a resident of Roxas Extension, Barangay Zone-2, Digos City. They are also categorized as HVI by the authorities.
Lerios said the joint forces of law enforcers launched the sting operation at about 7:20 pm on June 21 at Purok Rolex, Luna Extension, Digos City which resulted in the arrest of the suspects and confiscation of prohibited drugs and paraphernalia.
The confiscated illegal drugs, the police report said, weigh more or less 61.51 grams with an estimated street market value of P922,650 and a Dangerous Drugs Board standard of P418,268.
Pertinent documents for filing appropriate charges against the suspects who are now placed under police custody are in process.
