CAGAYAN de Oro City information officer Ivy Guantero today said that the recently held civic parade in this city, attended by over a hundred organizations, was a resounding success. 

The highlight of the event was the Higalaay Festival 2023 Float Competition, which took place at Kiosko Kagawasan in Divisoria.

In a heartwarming gesture, City Mayor Rolano “Klarex” Uy personally welcomed and greeted each organization, creating an atmosphere of joy and camaraderie.

Guantero shared the winners of the float competition.

Taking home the prestigious title of Champion and a prize of P300,000 was Palawan Pawnshop. 

Their intricate and visually stunning float captured the attention of both judges and spectators alike, showcasing the creativity and dedication of the team behind it.

Barangay Carmen secured the 1st Runner-up position, earning a prize of P200,000. 

Their float exuded a strong sense of community spirit, depicting the vibrant and lively atmosphere that their barangay is known for. 

Their remarkable efforts did not go unnoticed, and the recognition was well-deserved.

Securing the 2nd Runner-up spot and a prize of P100,000 was JE Hydro & Bio-Energy Corp. 

Their float (Golden Fish) showcased innovation and environmental consciousness, highlighting the importance of sustainable energy sources. 

Their commitment to a greener future was praised by both the judges and the audience.

The Higalaay Festival 2023 Float Competition proved to be a platform for organizations to display their creativity, community pride, and dedication to important causes. 

The participants’ remarkable efforts were appreciated by the city mayor and the entire community, making the event a memorable and enjoyable experience for all.
