Deepening the spirit of devotion, the ceremony was followed by a reverential ‘Holy Procession’ that started at the City Hall Quadrangle and ended at the esteemed City Mayor’s Office.

Participants sincerely recited the holy rosary, showing their heartfelt commitment to their faith, according to Shiela Lumbatan, the City Mayor’s Office chief of staff.

Encouraging a harmonious blend of work and prayer, Lumbatan said that Mayor Uy urged all city employees to dedicate their working days in October to the practice of prayer.

Mayor Uy emphasized the profound significance of offering their efforts as a tribute to the Virgin Mary, pointing out the transformative power of prayer as a source of inspiration and comfort.

“Let us begin each working day by seeking guidance and blessings from the Holy Mother through prayer,” said Uy.

Mayor Uy stressed that as they devote themselves to service to the Lord, they will find the strength and inspiration needed to fulfill their duties wholeheartedly.

To emphasize the profound importance of the ‘Month of the Holy Rosary’ and foster spiritual growth among the city’s residents, the local government has planned a multitude of activities carefully.

“These events aim to nurture unity and devotion as the faithful engage in various religious observances,” said Lumbatan.

The local government’s commendable initiative in organizing these spiritual gatherings has received widespread praise from the citizens.

Lumbatan added that these activities are not only seen as a way to deepen religious faith but also as a significant contribution to the overall spiritual well-being of the city’s inhabitants.

“As the ‘Month of the Holy Rosary’ progresses, preparations are underway for a variety of subsequent activities,” Lumbatan stated.

She mentioned that these activities include novena prayers, enlightening religious talks, and diverse forms of devotional practices.

The anticipation is that these events will ignite and strengthen the unwavering faith of the community, uniting them steadfastly in prayer, according to Lumbatan.
