In a successful operation carried out last Wednesday afternoon, police officers from the Cagayan de Oro Police Office apprehended two female suspects believed to be involved in drug-related activities.
The suspects have been identified as Christine Joy Romero, 32 years old, and Arlene Mae Villamor, 18 years old, both residing in Zone 10, Calaanan, Barangay Canitoan. The operation, which resulted in their arrest, was a buy-bust operation led by the city’s Drug Enforcement Unit under the command of Police Major Aldren Baculio, in cooperation with the City Intelligence Unit and in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
During the operation, law enforcement officers confiscated buy-bust money amounting to P500, along with a sachet containing suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P34,000.
The detained suspects are currently being held at the Maharlika custodial facility pending further legal proceedings.
