Several organizations, including the Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Army (PA), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), and Bureau of Fire and Protection (BFP), have come together for this cause.

They are deploying their personnel to different parts of the region to assist the Commission on Elections and the Department of Education in conducting the elections.

In total, 9,151 troops from the PNP, PA, PCG, and BFP were dispatched to the Comelec as additional security forces.

PRO-10 Regional Director Ricardo G. Layug, Jr. emphasized the dedication of law enforcement to ensure a safe and violence-free election for the voters.

“Our primary objective is to guarantee the security of the people’s vote and all election-related materials,” Layug said.

The joint send-off symbolizes a strong commitment to work together and prevent any unwanted incidents during the election process, according to Layug.

He also pledged to strengthen police presence and readiness, particularly in areas declared as ‘Areas of Concern.’

“Our contingency plan is meticulously prepared to address any possible scenarios in our areas of responsibility, ensuring peace and security for the upcoming October 30 elections,” Layug added.

He also stressed that the upcoming BSKE 2023 is an opportunity for government agencies to demonstrate their unity and dedication to ensuring a successful and peaceful election.

“May our joint efforts lead us to a prosperous and peaceful life for Filipinos,” Layug said.

Sa lahat ng pinagsamang pagsisikap na ito may we be guided, blessed with new local people that will guide us towards our ultimate goal na makamtan ang bansang maunlad at mapayapang buhay para sa mga Pilipino,” said Layug.
