DEPRESSED at being in constant struggle to make ends meet, a father of three committed suicide inside their home, Friday early morning.
Carmen Police Station Investigator PO3 Paul Naces identified the fatality as one Arnel Christ Fabro, 28 years old, married and was a father of three.
Naces told Gold Star Daily, that Fabro’s wife Mary Ann said she her husband’s lifeless body sprawled near his bed with a rope tied around his neck at about 4 am, Friday, inside their residence in Zone 2B, Barangay Patag, this city. Based on their preliminary findings, Naces said Fabro had killed himself and that there is no evidence of “foul play.”
Fabro’s wife said that her husband had been depressed because of their dire living conditions. Mary Ann works as a street sweeper for Barangay Patag and her husband worked as a dispatcher for public jeepneys at the junction in Camp Edilberto Evangelista, this city.
“Nago-ol man na siya kay walay among ipaka-on sa among mga anak tungod sa among kapobrehon.” Mary Ann said.
Fabro was a beneficiary of Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program (4Ps), she said.
Mary Ann refused to bring her husband’s remains to a mortuary because she could not afford it. nitz arancon, correspondent
