SPO3 Noel Oclarit, CIDG investigator, identified the suspect as Rogelio Doria a.k.a. Tatoy. The suspect is said to be a caretaker of a farm owned by Cagayan de Oro 2nd District Rep. Rufus Rodriguez in Sitio Pala, Barangay Sambulawan, El Salvador.

Oclarit said Doria was arrested based on a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Evelyn Gamotin-Neri of the 19th branch of the Regional Trial Court here.

Doria has been charged with two counts of rape, and no bailbond was recommended.

He was also charged with rape with sexual assault with a recommended bailbond of P120 thousand, and two counts of violation of Section 5, Article 2 of RA 7610, otherwise known as Child Abuse Law, with a recommended bailbond of P200 thousand.

Oclarit said the suspect did not resist arrest when the CIDG cornered him in his residence. The case against him stemmed from the complaint of the aunt of the alleged victims, ages 10 and 15 years. The two were alleged abused in Barangay Canitoan, this city.

Oclarit said the aunt filed the complaint because the alleged victims’ mother refused to believe that her partner abused the girls.

Oclarit said medical records show that the victims girls suffered from sexual abuse. The alleged victims are now in the custody of the City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) office.
