GENERALLY fair weather can be expected in most parts of the country until weekend, according to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
In its weekly outlook, Pagasa said throughout the July 20-27 period, the whole country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.
It added no tropical cyclone is expected to enter or develop inside the Philippine area. However, it said there is a possibility of significant changes in the weather pattern during the period.
Despite a warmer weather, the occurrence of isolated rains would still prevail due to localized thunderstorms expected mostly in the afternoon or evening.
Pagasa explained that the convective activity brought about by intense heat triggers the formation of more cumulonimbus clouds or dark clouds associated with thunderstorms that brings rains. (pna)
