BUTUAN CITY — A raid against illegal drug trafficking here, recently, has the authorities worried over the trend of proliferation of illegal drug use in the city.
Some P170,000 worth of illegal drugs suspected to be Shabu was confiscated over the weekend by the city’s anti-illegal drugs operatives inside a house rented by the suspects in Purok 1, Barangay Am-bago near Butuan City Police Station 3.
Police identified the suspect as one AmerCama-ma, 37, married and is native of Marawi City in Lanao del Norte and temporarily residing at an apartment where the drug raid, armed with Search Warrant issued by RTC Branch 4 Judge GodofredoAbul, at around 10:30 p.m. last Saturday, August 1.
Butuan City Police Station 3 commander Police Senior Inspector Carol Jabagat who also supervised the drug raid claimed that aside from 15 grams of shabu confiscated, cash money of P9,000.00 believed to be proceeds from the alleged illegal drugs pushing was also confiscated and several drug paarphenalia.
The suspect is now detained at the Butuan City Police Station 3 in Barangay Ambago, this city.
