DAVAO CITY — A total of 29 traffic enforcers will be redeployed Monday, August 17 on the main thoroughfares of the city to implement the Executive Order No. 29 which limits the speed of vehicles at 30, 40 and 60 kilometers per hour.

Mayor Rodrigo Duterte suspended temporarily the implementation of the traffic rule due to alleged mulcting activities.

The traffic enforcers hail from the Traffic Management Office, Traffic Group of the Davao City Police Office, Land Transportation Office 11 and the Highway Patrol Group 11.

Rhodelio Poliquit, chief of the TMO said that all deputized enforcers are required to wear their respective identification cards issued by the city government before they watch the streets against speeding motorists.

He said traffic enforcers are ordered to strictly follow the instructions and conditions set by Mayor Duterte to avoid mulcting on the violators.

“I have set conditions for them to follow to avoid mulcting activities as per guidance from the city mayor,” he said.

The ID measures at 5.5 X 8.5 inches and contains the emblazoned name of the enforcer, the corresponding logos of the city government of Davao, and the TMO. (PIA 11)
