Moreno’s list shows that the LP has dropped councilors Roger Abaday, Teodulfo Lao Jr., Enrico Salcedo, and Ma. Lourdes Darimbang.

He said Rep. Rolando Uy would remain as the LP’s candidate for congressman in the 1st District while his 2013 running mate, ex-councilor Edgar Cabanlas, would be the administration’s bet for the 2nd District.

Moreno did not say who his running mate would be but talk in the local LP has it that Uy’s son Rainer Joaquin, a Carmen councilor, would likely be his candidate for vice mayor.

Moreno’s candidates for city council seats in the 1st District are former vice mayor Antonio Soriano, Councilor Zaldy Ocon, Balulang barangay chairman Alfredo Carcosa, former barangay chairperson Marlene Lagumen of Canitoan, businessman George Goking, Reuben Daba,  Sherwin Uy, and retired general Romy Calizo.

In the 2nd District, the LP’s candidates for councilors are former vice  governor Norris Babiera, Engr. Roger Villazorda, Dr. Malou Lourdes Gaane, Cecilio Pacana, Nixon Baban, Dale  Mordeno, a retiring judge, and another one who would be announced later.

“Wala ako magkinahanglan sa kandidato nga mo-loyal kanako, apan ang akong gikinanglan ang kandidato nga mo-loyal sa pag-serbisyo sa katawhan, ug  ma-o kini ang akong nakita niining mga tawhana  nga akong gihuka sa akong line-up,” said Moreno.
