The Macasandig police said they would charge the suspects identified as Rodjen dela Torre, 32, and her boyfriend Erwin Ampey Garrido, 24, both from Iligan City.

Police said the two, who had a drink too many, caused trouble at de Kalsada convenience store on Velez and Fernandez streets at around 1:30 am Monday, prompting guard Wilbert Sucalitto to call for police assistance.

Police alleged that Garrido urinated on food being sold by the store, challenged and then repeatedly slapped the guard, and then badmouthed the officers who came.

While Garrido was allegedly subjecting the officers to verbal abuse, dela Torre allegedly slapped SPO2 Geoffrey Chua, collared PO2 Sankula Hussein, and then punched PO3 Rey Bustamante.

The police officers cried foul, and said they felt violated by Garrido and dela Torre.

“Amo siyang pakasuhan kay pagpakaulaw man ni iyang gihimo sa amo isip usa ka police officer. Dili gyud mayo iyang gibuhat,” said Chua.

Chua said they responded, asked Garrido and dela Torre to pay up, and then stop making trouble.

The two suspects were brought to the Macasandig police station where they were detained. Police said they would pursue in pressing charges against Garrido and dela Torre.
