BUTUAN City––Members of the Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group arrested a police officer and three women during a raid in Purok 9, Barangay Ong Yiu here on Sunday night.
Senior Insp. Fermin Gudano said the arrest was made in the house of Agnes Almaden, 52, after law enforcers found three sachets of suspected shabu and drug paraphernailia there.
Almaden was arrested together with SPO2 Elmer dela Torre, 41, a member of the Caraga police; Rosalie Arriola, 39, of Villa Costa Subdivision, Libertad; and Julie Gomez, 52, of Purok 6, Balbarino Subdivision, Barangay Holy Redeemer here.
Members of the task force and officers from the Butuan’s Police Station 2 raided the house based on a search warrant issued by a regional court.
Almaden confessed to be a shabu user.
Another suspect, Arriola, claimed she only accompanied Gomez, a friend of SPO2 dela Torre’s, in going to Almaden’s house.
