THE Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) yesterday pressed charges against 10 people caught during a raid in Camaman-an over the weekend.

PDEA regional director Wilkins Villanueva identified the primary suspects as Jennifer Genese a.k.a. Jecabs and Domingo Genese Jr. a.k.a. Mange of Ramonal Village, Camaman-an, this city.

Villanueva said the Genses were the targets of the PDEA agents who staged the raid at a house cum suspected drug den.

Villanueva said the narcotics agents also arrested eight others who were in the house during the raid. He identified them as John Frances, Gionanne  Tenebro, Niño Jel Caluso, Edmon Depio, Loreimer Adobar, Dino Genese, Apolinario Magto, and  Francis  Bacan Jr.

The suspects were charged before the City Prosecutor’s Office yesterday, according to Villanueva.

The PDEA agents staged the raid at around   5:30 pm on Saturday on the strength of a search warrant issued by a court against the Genenses.

Villanueva said agents seized suspected shabu in 20 sachets weighing about 71.5 grams and worth some P143 thousand. (nitz arancon)
