THE Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro East Urban is hosting a President-Elect Training Seminar (Pets) today from 8 AM to 5 PM at the Mulberry Suite here in Cagayan de Oro.
The event will start at 8 AM with the viewing of Rotary year (RY) 2016-2017 Rotary International President John Germ’s theme speech.
A Call to order shall be initiated by DGE Jing Dela Calzada of RC Metro Valencia Convenor, PETS followed by the invocation and national anthem lead by Rtn. Cyd Chariz Dela Calzada of RC Metro Valencia.
The RC CDO East Urban’s President Conchitina Lagonera will lead the welcoming remarks followed by the Governor-Elect’s Plenary Address by DGE Jing Dela Calzada.
The objective of the event is to train newly elected presidents in their responsibilities and is further explained by the District Trainer Designate, RC Cagayan de Oro PDG Manny Along.
The training is broken down into 8 sessions which will be presented by fellow Rotarians from various clubs in the Philippines.
Seassion 1: Planning your Year lead by PDG Oyan Villanueva of RC Baguio Summer Capital RID 3790; Running your Meetings lead by PDG Ben Vegafria, RC West CDO; Leading Rotarians by AGD Ching Ignacio, RC Malaybalay; Engaging your Club’s Members lead by PDG Bing Juarez, RC CDO East Urban; Serving your Community lead by PDG Tess Navales RC Iligan Bay; Promoting Rotary lead by PAG Fe Alvarez RC Cotabato East; The Rotary Foundation lead by PAG Myra Balandra RC CDO East Urban and lastly Managing your Finances lead by PAG Bobby Sebastian, RC West CDO.
Other activities to be tackled during the event are approval/discussion of district budget, open forum and evaluation. kda
