“LAGLAG BALA” came back with a vengeance and ridiculously, too–an old and sickly woman was victimized.

As if those found to have participated and meted punishment was not enough, a few still found the guts to do it again. This time, the buck stops at the doorsteps of Malacañang for not lifting a finger to seriously put a stop to this shameful act. The crooks are still there because some people in power and position may have just told them, “Next time, be careful.”

Matanda na, biniktima pa rin. Those responsible should stand before a firing squad.

I have a question though. Is this happening also in other airports? Or, were they not reported? If this is also happening in other cities, then the cancer has spread and the victims are just silent or simply don’t have the time to file a complaint.

I don’t own a gun. I don’t know how to use one. What if in one of my travels, I become a victim of “Laglag Bala,” and subjected to harsh treatment and physical injury? I don’t want to imagine what I am capable of doing. God forbid!

To those who still think they can get away with it, please stop. The next time around, something might just blow on your faces.

The debate is over and the three mayoral candidates were all good debaters. They all did their best.

Dongkoy Emano surprised me with his wit although obviously, he is not the same Dongkoy of yesteryears. Oca Moreno was always on the defensive simply because of the perception that he failed to act on Dongkoy’s failures, and there was no remedy and improvement in the city. He always made the majority the scapegoat for his own failures.

Rufus Rodriguez can’t be a subject of criticism for failure since he has never been our mayor. Not yet. But neither can we say he is the better candidate since it remains to be seen. We can only admire his platform of government and hope that he would be true to his promises.

Let us not be guided by our choice on whose supporters shouted the loudest. It is still the platform of government and the sincerity of the candidate to do things with utmost transparency and accountability.

Somebody from the relocation site should come forward or post on Facebook the land title allegedly given by Mayor Moreno in order to erase all doubts.

Dongkoy’s “piso-piso” was a farce, and was politically motivated. What did Moreno give them, a land title or just a certificate? To issue a certificate is still deception. That’s false hope. But a title is a title. If it is a title, I doff my hat to Moreno.
