Moreno would be sworn in together with incoming Vice Mayor Joaquin Uy, Rep. Rolando Uy of the city’s 1st District, and most councilors.

Supt. Michael Jhon Deloso, deputy director for operations and spokesman of the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (Cocpo), said officers in uniform and civilian clothes would secure Divisoria.

The officers would include members of the elite Special Weapons and Tactics (Swat) and explosives experts. Bomb-sniffing dogs would be used in the area.

City hall spokesperson Maricel Rivera said the Divisoria activity would start with a 6 am concelebrated mass to be officiated by Archbishop Antonio Ledesma, Msgr. Perseus Cabunoc, Fr. Robert Yap, and Msgr. Rey Manuel Monsanto. Fr. Antonio Moreno, S.J., would deliver the homily.

Moreno and Rep. Uy would be sworn in by former Senate President Aquilino Pimentel Jr. while incoming Vice Mayor Uy would take oath before his mother, Carmen barangay chairperson Rosemary Lorna Uy.

Their allies in the new city council–Zaldy Ocon, Jay Pascual, Romeo Caliso, George Goking, Reuben Daba, Maria Lourdes Gaane, Teoduldo Lao Jr. and Enrico Salcedo–would be sworn in by Moreno.
