IN a span of just two weeks, the series of shooting incidents, believed to be involving illegal drugs in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental have claimed it fourth and fifth victims.

This, after two victims of shooting incidents were found dead by responding Tagoloan Municipal Police Station (TMPS) along Arellano St., barangay Poblacion, Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental Tuesday evening.

Police identified the victims as Willie Talarion, 50, and a resident of Kimaya, Jasaan, Misamis Oriental and Charie Allena alias Boboy, 28, and a resident of Zone-3, Arellano St., Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental.

PO1 Lowell Menaño of Tagoloan Municipal Police Station said they received a call from a resident in the area reporting a shooting incident along Arellano St.

However, upon arrival by the responding police officers the victims were already dead. Talarion bore multiple gunshot wounds on the head and chest while Allena was hit on the left eye and other parts of the body.

Scene of Crime Operatives (Soco) recovered several sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride also known as shabu from the bodies of the victims. They also recovered empty shells near the crime scene from a .45 caliber pistol.

He said they are still looking on the suspects responsible on the series of shooting incidents in the area.

He added that no witnesses have forwarded to shed light to the Tuesday-evening shooting incident.

Meanwhile, Police arrested one person who was wanted for murder, illegal distribution of drugs and election gun ban in Naga, Cebu City over the weekend.

Police identified the suspect as Junriel Permito, 28-years old and a resident of Yacapin Extension, Barangay 36, this city. Permito managed to remove his handcuff while he was first arrested in their residence last year.

P/Sr. Inspector Jerry Ligas, police station commander of Macabalan Police Station said the arrest of Permito was through the coordination of Naga Police Office in Naga, Cebu City.
