A JOINT operation of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), Police 10 Intelligence Division, and the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (Cocpo) rounded up at least 13 illegal drugs personalities at about 6 pm Thursday in Dabati-an St., Barangay Carmen, this city.
Chief Insp. Melgar Devaras, CIDG chief, identified the drug pusher of the group as Fritz Acosta, alias “Ondoy,” 34, and a resident of Dabati-an St.
Identified by the arresting officers as drug users were Eldie Sa-a, 27; Erwin Acosta, 28; Darwin Tinampay, 21; Jeffie Albasug, 18; Aquino Acapulco, Sr., 48; Aquino Acapulco Jr., 28; Virgilio Acosta, 39; Quin Feliciano, 28; Roland Anob, 49; Rose Fernandez, 40; Mariliz Feliciano, 48; and Dioslyn Abalde, 32.
According to Devaras, the target of their buy-bust operation was Fritz Acosta who was known to be operating a drug den in his residence.
The other 12 drug personalities they arrested, Devaras added, were inside Acosta’s house when they raided it.
Police confiscated sachets of suspected shabu with a street value of P10 thousand, drug paraphernalia, and the marked money of five one hundred peso bills.
Devaras said the 13 suspects are currently detained at the CIDG mini-cell and they will be facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act.
