THE LONG arm of the law finally caught up with a man wanted for carnapping and as luck would have it, police also seized suspected shabu from him on Thursday.

Bulua police chief Arvies Verano Altiche identified the carnapping suspect as Vincent Velez alias Vince, 41, of Pisces St., Terry Hills Subdivision, Bulua, this city.

Altiche said the arrest was made possible by virtue of a warrant of arrest for carnapping with a bailbond of P180 thousand issued by Judge Henry Damasing.

He said they frisked Velez as a standard procedure and found three small sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu in the left front pocket of his brown cargo shorts.

When the police scoured Velez’s house, they found assorted drug paraphernalia.

The alleged shabu were turned over to PNP Crime Laboratory for examination. A case for violation of RA 9165 is being prepared against Velez. (lito rulona)
