FORMER Taglimao barangay chairman William Guialani is planning on asking a regional court to quash the information for child abuse that was filed against him, and filing a motion  for judicial determination of probable cause.

Guialani said this after he bailed out last week in connection with the child abuse case filed by his former carenderia worker.

The former village chief alleged that the local prosecution office denied him due process, claiming that there no hearing was ever made.

Guialani also alleged that he did not receive a copy of any resolution on the complaint from the City Prosecutor’s Office.

“Wala gyud mi naka hearing. Sa kahanginan ra nako sya madunggan. Wala gyuy due process ang pagdakop sa ako mao nang mag-file gyud ko,” he said.

Guialani criticized Prosecutor Jonathan Pacuribot whom, he said, is closely associated with Mayor Oscar Moreno.

Guialani also said authorities made it difficult for him to bail out last week. He said as soon as he posted the bailbond, authorities still held him because he supposedly still had  over 30 other cases, including estafa. He said the cases have long been settled.

“Ang ila lang gyud nga mapunggan nila ang akong paggawas,” he said.

He has maintained his innocence, saying that his arrest last week was due to “politics.”

Guialani is the complainant in the grave misconduct case against Moreno in connection witn the controversial 2013 tax settlement between city hall and Ajinomoto Philippines. Moreno has elevated the case before the Court of Appeals (CA) after the ombudsman upheld its decision to dismiss and bar him from holding public office.
