 GINGOOG City–The mandatory indigenous people’s representative to the Sangguniang Panlungsod here is scheduled to be installed tomorrow during the legislative body’s first regular session. The inaugural session would be presided over by Vice Mayor Ruthie Guingona.

Councilor Mike Paderanga said he would move for the recognition of Eatoriano Mandahinog as representatve to the city council.

Paderanga said Mandahinog, 54, has served a total of 12 years as chairman of Barangay Kalipay.

Councilor Marlon Kho said Mandahinog would be the second indigenous people’s representative to the city council after Allan Mandokita who just ended his term.

“He will enjoy the same benefits as member of the Sangguniang Panlungsod representing the IPs,” said Kho.

Mandahinog was chosen by tribal members in the city to represent them in the city council, Kho said.
