Chief Insp. Ariel Philip Pontillas, chief of the Agora police, said Cocpo officials met with NBI regional director Angelito Magno on Friday. He said Magno assured that the NBI would help in finding the suspect who gave the names “Jason Caram” and “Jason Caramba.”

Pontillas said city police director Ronnie Francis Cariaga wanted to step up the manhunt operations to bring to justice the person behind the teenager’s murder.

He said the Cocpo has ackowledged that the NBI has more capability in locating crime suspects who may have fled to other places in the country like Cebu where the suspect is believed to be from, and Metro Manila.

Pontillas said the Cocpo also sent screengrabs from security camera recordings and clearer photos of “Jason” to the NBI.

“Jason” was identified by 19-year old April Jean Albit, a self-confessed procurer, as the one who supposedly contracted her and the victim’s services last Sunday afternoon.
