TRAVELERS can now have free WiFi access at the Laguindingan airport in Misamis Oriental.

On Friday, the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT)-Smart Communications launched the free WiFi access at the airport terminal in line with the thrust of President Duterte.

PLDT-Smart is planning to provide the free WiFi access in 21airport terminal across the country in 100 days, said Finina Gorres, PLDT vice president for enterprise customer operations management.

Next of Davao’s, Laguindingan was the second airport where PLDT-Smart made available free WiFi access to the public.

Gorres said the firm was also aiming at providing free  WiFi access in malls, plazas,  city halls, schools, hospitals, and other establishments within two to three years. (nitz arancon)
