A REGIONAL court has issued a hold-departure order against a businessman accused of two counts rape and seven counts of child abuse in the city.

Judge Richard Mordeno of the 22nd branch of the Regional Trial Court here issued the hold-departure order against Sanny Villaganas Sr. of Zone 7, Bonbon and Apovel in Bulua.

Villaganas, who reportedly owns a security agency in Northern Mindanao, is at large at presstime.

The court sent copies of the order to the Bureau of Immigration (BI) and the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).

A warrant of arrest, with no recommendation of bail, was issued in June 24 by Mordeno against Villaganas.

According to the alleged victim’s family, the girl who was just 13 years old at the time, was raped in January 2015 and September 2015.

The court ordered the National Bureau of Investigation, Bureau of Immigration and Deportation and Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit to execute the warrant, and make a monthly report to the court as to the status of the warrant.
