MISAMIS Oriental police director Senior Supt. Manuel Sukarno Alvarez has alleged that at least two mayors and a number of barangay chairpersons in Misamis Oriental were uncooperative in “Operation Tokhang” campaign.
Alvarez said he received the report when he met with different police station commanders in the province during the launch of the Misamis Oriental Police Provincial Office Website and the Joint AFP-PNP Action Center (Japac) on Wednesday afternoon.
Alvarez said he was waiting for the official reports of the police stations commanders. He said the reports would be transmitted to Camp Crame and the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).
“Naa gyu’y mga mayor og barangay chairman nga dili gyud ga-support sa kampanya sa polis against illegal drugs. But at any rate, gipadayon gihapon sa atong kapolisan and then nahimo nga challenge kung walay support sa LGU,” he said.
