TYPHOON Ferdie, said to be comparable to Typhoon Yolanda, maintained its intensity yesterday.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said issued tropical cyclone warning signal no. 4 over the Batanes Group of Islands, and warned that the impacts of the winds may cause very heavy damage to highisk structures. Pagasa warned of possible storm surge.
