Balubal barangay chair Vivian Malingin identified the dead man as Armand del Puerto, 34, of Balubal. He worked in a warehouse in Mambatangan, Manolo Fortich town in Bukidnon.

Earlier in the day, Chief Insp. Ian Borenaga, Puerto police chief, said, “Nabo-ak ang ulo sa biktima nga posibling agi sa bala o gibundakan sa bato.”

Malingin said del Puerto was last seen in Barangay Puerto early Monday night. He allegedly had a drink too many.

The Scene of the Crime Operatives (Soco) later said del Puerto succumbed two gunshots to the head and back. He was also stabbed to the chest.

City police director  Senior Supt. Ronnie Francis Cariaga said del Puerto’s killing is among the three cases of attacks this week that investigators are looking into.

Cariaga said another man, 25-year old “trisikad” driver Louie Abellanosa, was stabbed by three assailants.

Abellanosa was rushed to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) but was declared dead on arrival.

Cariaga said another gun attack also took place near the Bulua terminal about the same time, seriously wounding public jeepney barker Jerry Sacay, 30, of Zone 5, Barangay Kauswagan, this city.

Sacay was rushed to the Polymedic General Hospital where he is struggling for life at presstime. He sustained six gunshot wounds.

Police said Sacay was shot by two still unidentified assailants on a motorcycle.

PO2 Dennis Manangpangan of the Bulua police said a driver of a public jeepney is being sought.
