BUTUAN City — The National Police (PNP) and the Armed Forces (AFP) signed a Memorandum of Agreement for collaboration procedures to fight the rampant proliferation of illegal drugs in the Caraga Region.
The Regional Joint Peace and Security Coordinating Committee signed the agreement at the Police Regional Office 13 here at Camp Rafael Rodriguez, Libertad, this city.
Under the agreement, the PNP will take the lead role in any operation on the implementation of Pulis at Sundalo: Magkabalikat Laban sa Droga Project known as “Double Barrel,” and takes the lead role in the investigation and processing of scenes of the crime.
The Army, for its part, will provide support to law enforcement operations and assist the PNP in the implementation of Project Double Barrel.
