NATIONAL Police Director Ronald dela Rosa has ordered police director for northern Mindanao Noel Constantino relieved, various highly placed sources in Camp Alagar said yesterday.

If plans don’t change, Chief Supt. Constantino would be replaced by Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (Armm) police director Agripino Javier, said Camp Alagar officials who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to release the information.

Chief Supt. Javier is scheduled to assume as northern Mindanao’s police director on Tuesday based on Special Order no. 10121 from Camp Crame.

The Dec. 12 order was signed by Police Director Fernando Mendez Jr.,  head of Camp Crame’s personnel and records management division.

Sources said Chief Supt. Constantino received the order on Tuesday.

Unless there are changes between now and next week, Constantino would become director for community relations of Camp Crame in preparation for his promotion to a higher police rank.

He is scheduled to leave a day after former Albuera, Leyte police director Chief Insp. Jovie Espenido and 15 other officers from that town are scheduled to report for work at Camp Alagar. Albuera is the hometown of alleged drug lord Kerwin Espinosa and where his slain father Rolando Sr. was mayor.

Constantino assumed as police director for Region 10 just this August. He replaced retired Chief Supt. Lyndel Desquitado.

Camp Alagar sources said there is still a chance Camp Crame would take back its order just like in the case of Desquitado.
