BUTUAN City — There has been no let up in the government’s anti-illegal drugs drive even during the Holidays as a house of one of the suspected drug pushers who escaped in a raid while two suspected drug pushers were arrested few days before the Christmas while celebrating the yuletide season in three separate raids and buy-bust operations.

Police Regional Office 13 Director, Chief Supt. Rolando Felix said authorities from Cabadbaran City Police Office raided the residence of Grethel Lao Gulay Sr. alias “Titoy” at Barangay  9, Cabadbaran City, Agusan del Norte, on Dec. 22.

According to PRO 13 report, Gulay was on top four high-value target (HVT) among local suspected drug personalities.

A search warrant was served in his residence last Dec. 22 and confiscated were estimated four grams of shabu worth P47,600 along with other illegal drug paraphernalia while the subject Titoy Gulay was able to escape.

In Barangay Port Poyohon, here, suspected drug personality identified by local police as Jilly Navarro Consolacion, 27, was arrested after a buy- bust operation conducted by police operatives.

Police said, Consolacion was caught having suspected sachets of shabu worth P11, 800 and Php 6,000 fake marked money.

Meanwhile on Christmas eve, a buy- bust operation was staged in Barangay Sampaguita Tagana-an, Surigao del Norte which led to the arrest of a watch listed drug pusher identified as Winneson Lisondra Baldo, 28, having in his possession an estimated 0.08 grams of suspected shabu.

Felix said all apprehended suspects and confiscated items were brought to the custody of the respective police stations while investigations are on-going especially on how a high value target in Cabadbaran City, reportedly closed to some politicians, managed to escape.

“As the season rush heightens, so does our operations to be taken against illegal drugs. The police force will not go lax in the midst of our yuletide merriment to ensure a timely success in this endeavor,” Felix said.
