BUTUAN City — A 17-year old minor was killed while two of his brothers, aged 22 and 25, were seriously wounded after gunmen riding tandem attacked inside their home in Purok 7, Sitio Corro, Barangay Colorado, Jabonga, Agusan del Norte on Mondayat about 4 pm.
Jabonga, Agusan del Norte Municipal Police Office’s PO2 Jerry Madronero said the three siblings were playing a game cards inside their home when suddenly two suspects riding in tandem barged into their home and started shooting them.
Killed in the attack, as identified by Madronero, was Juvy Monteclaro, 17, while his two brothers Dondon, 22, and Joemil, 25 were seriously wounded after getting multiple gunshot wounds on their bodies and are now recuperating at a hospital here.
The latest casualty victim of extrajudicial killings attack Juvy sustained fatal gunshot wound to the head while his two brothers got gunshot wounds to their necks, Jabonga Police report reads.
Initial investigation result showed that based on the slugs of bullets found at the crime scene, the gunmen suspects used .45 caliber and 9mm pistols.
Police said they are still investigating the incident.
The minor killed has brought the total of extrajudicial killings in Caraga region to 49 victims since the government launched its anti-illegal drugs campaign.
