MOTORCYCLE-RIDING gunmen shot and killed three men and wounded another in what was believed to be another vigilante attack in sitio Lower Gangha-an, Barangay Sta. Cruz, Tagoloan in Misamis Oriental at 8:30 pm Monday.

SPO4 Tawede Gallon of the Tagoloan police identified the dead aas Rollie Ello, 33, and cousins Mark Lester Dacobor, 36, and Michael Angelo Dacobor a.k.a. Carlo Boyug, 30, of Purok 2,  Barangay  San Martin in neighboring Villanueva town.

Gallon said 28-year old Edgardo Caculba, also of Purok 2,  San Martin, Villanueva town survived the attack. Caculba is in a hospital.

Gallon theorized that the shootings were drugelated because investigators found a sachet of suspected shabu and paraphernalia near the bodies of the victims.

Police also found caliber .45 and 9mm pistol shells at the crime scene.

Barangay chairman Jeric Emano of San Martin, Villanueva said the Dacobor cousins and Caculba were “Tokhang” responders last year.

Another barangay chairman, Rene Embrado, told Magnum Radio that Ello was suspected to be a drug peddler in Barangay Sta. Cruz in Tagoloan.

Gallon said two of the victims were attacked in Ello’s nipa hut by men who concealed their identities with bonnets. Michael Angelo Dacobor’s body was found at the back of the hut.

Gallon said the lone survivor, Caculba, has been given police protection in a hospital.
