The Provincial Veterinary Office in Misamis Oriental launched on Monday the “School-on-Air” program of Dr. Benjamin Resma, provincial veterinary head.

The program aims to teach listeners on the effective ways in duck production via broadcasting over RMN-dxCC.

Resma said the students, who should be officially enrolled in this program would only listen to the discussions and instructions over radio, from duck raising, production, and marketing strategies. Graduates of this course will receive certificates of completion from the Office of the Governor, which eventually be used in availing livelihood programs offered by the Provincial Government particularly in duck raising.

“This is our way, as Governor Bambi Emano instructed us, to bring our services closer to the people using the airwave so that areas in Misamis Oriental that are difficult for us to reach can already be possible,” Resma explained.

Experts from the PVO like Susan Laquibla, Provincial Agriculturist II, will anchor the program to be regularly aired over RMN-dxCC every Mondays and Fridays, from 5:30 to 6:30 in the evening.

The PVO has enrollees from the municipalities of Kinoguitan, Lagonglong, Tagoloan, Claveria, Libertad, Manticao, Villanueva, Alubi-jid, Laguindingan, Jasaan, El Salvador, Balingasag, Naa-wan, and Opol. (pio misor)
