LABOR Secretary Silvestre Bello III would grace the celebration of the country’s 119th Independence Day here today.
Mayor Oscar Moreno said members of President Duterte’s cabinet were tasked to lead the celebrations in various regional centers, and Cagayan de Oro was assigned to Bello.
City hall has lined up several Independence Day activities that would start with a flagaising ceremony in Divisoria at 7 am.
Moreno said today’s activities are part of preparations for “Himugso 2017” on Thursday, June 15, when the city marks its 67th Charter Day.
On Thursday, Moreno is set to deliver his annual report to the city, also in Divisoria. (nitz arancon)
