THE Criminal Investigation and Detection Group is preparing to charge self-declared “President” and USA Freedom Fighters of the East leader Ely Pamatong with illegal possession of firearms, ammunition and explosives tomorrow.

SPO4 Noel Oclarit of the CIDG said the charges would be filed after they return today to Judge Mirabeaus Undalok of the 43rd branch of the Regional Trial Court in Gingoog City the search warrants he issued against Pamatong and his followers.

The CIDG would also press charges against Pamatong for the inverted Philippine flag found in the Usaffe headquarters in Tablon, and for unauthorized use of the President’s seal.

Police said they found a caliber .45 pistol and two grenades when they raided the Usaffe compound last week. Pamatong and his followers were nowhere to be found during the raid. (nitz arancon)
