Iligan City — The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines will be hosting a media literacy seminar on the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (Wesm).
Dubbed as “Media Literary on WESM 101,” Divina Suson, secretary of the Lanao Press Club said local reporters are enjoined to participate the seminar today at the N Hotel from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
To note, Wesm is an envisioned trading on the market with supply of electricity treated like a commodity. This is created under the Epira Law. Attempts were made to activate this several years ago after the passage of the law, but until now, it is not yet in place.
Although the government with the Department of Energy as among its prime movers, plans to make this a reality in 2018.
