ILIGAN City — Three people died as two speeding motorcycles rammed into each other in the municipality of Linamon, Lanao del Norte province on Thursday night.

PO2 Ariel Coronel of the Linamon municipal police station identified the victims as Carmelito Paculba, 37; Rene Baysac, 48; and 20-year-old Jay Paculba.

Coronel said the accident happened at Purok 3, Barangay Busque, Linamon town at around 7 pm Thursday.

Coronel said the two speeding motorcycles were moving towards opposite directions when they rammed into each other at a bumpy portion of the road in Barangay Busque in Linamon town.

One of the motorcycles was driven by Carmelito Paculba, a dump truck driver, with Baysac riding at the back.

The other was driven by Jay Paculba, a worker of Gen Power Plant based in the municipality of Kauswagan in Lanao del Norte. Police authorities said the young worker was a nephew of the elder Paculba.

Baysac died on the spot while the other two was rushed to a hospital where they were subsequently pronounced dead.
