MISAMIS Oriental Gov. Yevgeny Vincente Emano on Monday named lawyer Jeffrey Saclot as the first head of the newly created Provincial Tourism Department.
Emano signed the appointment of Saclot at the start of the 88th founding anniversary of Misamis Oriental and the 5th Kuyamis Festival.
The new capitol department was created through Ordinance 1402-2017 approved by the provincial board. In effect, the provincial law turned the Provincial Tourism Office into a regular department of the provincial government.
Emano also appointed Yvonne Waga as the new department assistant head.
