Fifty young leaders mostly from different Youth for Environment in Schools Organization in Misamis Oriental and Bukidnon attend this year’s Mapawa Environmental Youth Camp, an activity jointly sponsored by energy firms Steag State Power Inc. and Aboitiz Power Corp., and facilitated by the Environment Management Board in Region 10. With the theme“Kabataan: Sagip Kalikasan, Sagip Buhay,” the activity aims to instill among the youth love and respect for nature through conservation and protection of the environment. The two-day camp was held at the Mapawa Nature Park in Cugman where the 1,200-hectare Steaf-sponsored carbon sink project is also located. (supplied photo)
